"Life is growth. If we stop growing, technically and spiritually, we are as good as dead." - Morihei Ueshiba
We are officially in the season of reflecting. As I look back, 2023 has been deeply fulfilling. This year, I stepped into fully trusting my training, and using my skills more intentionally to enrich and empower others.
This has looked like:
Graduating from the New England Feldenkrais Method Awareness Through Movement Teacher Training Program (Brattleboro, VT).
Leading an Awareness Through Movement workshop at Emerson College, a part of the institution's initiative on Sustainability (Boston, MA).
Coordinating a teaching pipeline for fellow Awareness Through Movement teachers to work at an established private practice based in NYC. Recruiting 16 teachers to participate.
Includes offering classes in Spanish; an accessibility effort rarely offered in U.S. Feldenkrais practices.
Teaching as a full-time children's martial arts instructor in Brooklyn, NY.
Developing and leading after-school programs in Boxing, Karate, and Wellness in Brooklyn and NJ.
Facilitating a Self-Defense Workshop for Women, Trans, and Non-Binary Folks in Northampton, MA.
Co-leading a backpacking trip for Brooklyn-based Girl Scouts.
As we turn towards the new year, I am writing to ask for your support. I have outlined my teaching and training goals for 2024 and what I need to get there: https://www.gofundme.com/f/sgb2024
Any contribution you can make is appreciated - a note of encouragement, ideas for collaboration, sharing this request with others, or a financial donation.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you. Domo arigato gozaimasu.
On the path,
